Industry:

An evolving digital transformation

Power Grid Civils is a highly specialised engineering and consultancy provider working for industry-leading contractors in the energy and power utilities sectors. They specialise in intrusive investigations, new build projects, and the refurbishment of transmission tower foundations. Starting in 2022, we’ve developed their digital presence through three phases – initially establishing their professional image, then adding client-facing tools, and finally showcasing their sustainability and community commitments as these became central to their business identity.

The Challenge

Establishing credibility whilst building flexibility for future growth.

Power Grid Civils lacked any online presence to showcase their capabilities or differentiate them from competitors in the energy and utilities sectors. Their wide-reaching portfolio of specialist projects wasn’t visible to potential clients or partners. Without brand consistency across materials, they weren’t presenting the professional image their technical expertise deserved. As the business grew, they’d need ways to share health and safety reports with clients and showcase their evolving sustainability and community commitments, but couldn’t predict exactly when these features would become priorities.

The Solution

Complete website redesign with an interactive project map and online client portal.

Phase one launched in 2022 with a complete website redesign highlighting their accreditations, diverse skilled workforce, vast experience, and commitment to health and safety. We designed an interactive map showcasing specialist projects by location and created internal documents and marketing collateral including employee handbooks and pop-up banners. Phase two added a client login system allowing clients to access health and safety figures directly. Phase three introduced dedicated sustainability and community sections, showcasing their commitment to running a sustainable business and supporting their local area through donations and sponsorship.

Our Approach

Phased approach that matched features to actual business priorities.

We prioritised getting Power Grid Civils online with a professional presence that showcased their technical expertise and project portfolio. The interactive project map and brand consistency work established them as industry leaders from day one. Rather than building every feature initially, we added the client portal when showcasing project safety reports to clients became a key business priority. The sustainability and community sections came later as these commitments became central to their business identity and competitive positioning. This approach meant each enhancement addressed real business priorities.
